A very rare table indeed - our fitter of 30 years + service has never seen another B&W Table with steel block cushions that was not full size. We can only assume that this was a special order direct from the manufacturer somewhere between 1925 -1935. We dismantled this table in Surrey , rerubbered the table in Northern Rubber in the workshop and delivered the table to a holiday home in Cornwall. The table was recovered in Strachan 6811 Tournament cloth. An unusual and interesting table !

Clulow was a little known manufacturer of Snooker tables based in Manchester. We are unsure whether the company was swallowed up by one of the larger companies in Manchester such as Orme & Sons or whether the business simply ceased trading. What we do know is that this table at one point in it’s history was situated in Hereford Police Station circa 1920. Whilst there some further renovation works took place. The table was in fairly tired condition and it had last been re-rubbered in 1961 - as you might imagine the bounce was fairly poor.

We completely re-conditioned the table including removing the very poor cushion bolts that bolted into the slate. These had been changed at some point in the table’s history and had been replaced by some very poor alternatives which with the rubber led to the table having a very poor cushion response. The woodwork was stripped ,stained and fully repolished. The Table was covered in Strachan 6811 Tournament cloth. A rare table from a little known manufacturer.

We installed another lovely Full Size Riley Aristocrat Table in Staffordshire for a client in October. This table was finished in the far more common dark mahogany and was situated upstairs in a beautifully created new room. The table was covered in Strachan 30 oz 6811 Tournament cloth. Elston and Hopkin dismantle and move Snooker and American Pool Tables all over the U.K. and Europe. It is important to ensure that any company involved in the dismantling , transportation and Re-erection of tables are fully insured for the process and also have the requisite skills to ensure that the Snooker table will play correctly when delivered to it’s new location.

We installed this beautiful George Wright Full Size Antique Snooker Table in a property in Leicestershire. This Table was manufactured circa 1890 and like all George Wright tables was beautifully designed. The quality of work and materials that was put into these tables was quite superb and reflected on the type of customer they were regularly selling to. Wright’s sold tables to many members of the aristocracy and on occasions royalty. We always have an example of a George Wright table in stock that can be prepared for full restoration for a discerning client.

We delivered and installed a beautiful Riley Aristocrat in a light mahogany finish for a client who owned a holiday home in Dorset. These tables are increasingly sought after in pre-owned condition as they provide an excellent game of snooker at an affordable price.
